Holiday apartments Balogh and Elger in Osterode, the gateway to the Harz National Park , the Harz Mountains Nature Park and the Harz Mountains Geopark for the most beautiful times of the year; good for both leisure time and sports.

The 65m² holiday apartment Balogh for up to 6 persons and the 45m² Elger for 2 to 4 persons located next to the forest on the outskirts of Osterode on a south-facing slope approximately 15minutes walk from the medieval town centre. From here you can experience the Harz national park with its wild romantic landscape, or combine rambles through beautiful landscapes with educational walking trails on the karst trail, with emphasis on geological areas of special importance.

The South Harz invites you in summer to relax, walk, cycle or motorcycle through the 1000 curves of the Harz.

Osterode is a strategically favourable starting point for mountain bike tours and also the "Hexenstieg" (Witches Trail) which ends in Thale via the Brocken, the Harz highest mountain.

The trail is a very beautiful but also quite demanding route just under 100km long and up to 900m high.

Our holiday apartments are tastefully and completely fitted out with crockery, beds and a sofa-bed according to the number of persons, coffee machine, radio, DVB-S or DVB-T TV and garden furniture.
